Week of April 27th

We are heading in to May...we've got this!

Head's Up

Starting in the fall, we should all be fully transitioned to LP curriculum. The curriculum is all on the Teacher Links of the webpage, and there are pacing guides with each grade level/content area that should be followed...there will obviously be some differentiating going on, but it should generally be the same content. Additionally, teachers will be expected to use PlanBook, as it is required for all teachers in Lincoln Park.

Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT) Drill

There will be a MERT drill for those on the MERT team, on Tuesday, April 29th, at 8:30am

Daily Test Schedule

Please remember to check here for the daily test schedule for this week: Beacon Daily Testing Schedule

Uocoming Field Trips and Criteria:

PBiS has put together some fun field trips in the upcoming weeks. We will be sending out separate emails as the trips get closer that goes over the specifics for each one, but we wanted to send this out so we can start discussing the trips and criteria for students to get them motivated to go.  We spaced each field trip out so the students have a 2 week window to meet the criteria. We are hoping that the students are excited to attend and this motivates them to meet the criteria for the trips.

Criteria:
-No Physical Aggression
-No Bus Write-ups
-No Elopements from the building
-Step 3 or 4
-Social Worker/Admin Approval (this can include behaviors/academics that dont always fall within the above areas)

Dates:
MudHens Baseball Game (Toledo, Ohio)- Wednesday May 7th
Criteria Dates: April 23rd to May 6th

University of Michigan Stadium Tour (Ann Arbor, MI)- Wednesday May 21st
Criteria Dates: May 7th to May 20th

Toledo Zoo (Toledo, Ohio)- Wednesday June 4th
Criteria Dates: May 21st to June 3rd

If any student violates criteria prior to leaving they will not be able to attend, so this includes the morning of the field trip.

Basketball Hoop?

If anyone happens to have an outdoor portable basketball hoop they're looking to get rid of that's in decent condition, and you would like to donate it to Beacon, the student's would love it!

Remember your Work Badge

We have a large staff, and it takes a lot of time to buzz people into the building when people forget to bring their badge to work. Please try to remember to bring your badge everyday to let yourself into the building. This will be really helpful in trying to keep the office running efficiently.
