A poster titled “Black History Is Important Because…” will be placed in the Conference Room. Students will be invited to write their thoughts directly on the poster. Teachers are asked to bring their homeroom classes down at some point during the week to participate.  Staff members are also encouraged to contribute as well.

Throughout the week, each homeroom class will take part in Door Decorating. Decorations should highlight Black History and may be connected to the theme of Belonging. Classes may focus on a historical figure, invention, important facts, or any other aspect of Black History of their choice.
