PBiS/Trauma-Informed Focus of The Month: Be Responsible/Independence.
In the Circle of Courage model, Independence is the need for youth to develop autonomy, choice, and personal power by learning self-discipline, making good decisions, and taking responsibility for their actions, fostering a belief in their ability to influence events and become capable, self-reliant individuals, rather than feeling like victims. Please use these Be Responsible lessons, as well as activities that promote independence in the classroom.
