Black History Month Schedule: 

Week of February 23rd–27th

The week begins Monday with a student announcement featuring a Black History fact and an overview of the week’s activities.

Weekly Activities:

• Tuesday (24th): Students and staff can wear red, black, green, yellow, or other Black History Month attire to celebrate. The color is not specific to the unit. 

• Wednesday (25th): Kahoot: Guess the Person – Top three students (one from each unit) will choose a prize of their choice. (Kahoot link will be provided at a later date)

• Thursday (26th): Black History Lunch Karaoke – Students can sign up and select a pre approved song to perform.  (Sign up sheet will be provided closer to the date) 

• Friday: Black History Celebration Walk (27th) – Assembly in the Gym or Lunchroom (TBD). Students will participate hearing about multiple figures in Black History.  Selected students will dress up like their figure in Black History and "present" who they are.  This will occur in Assembly style in the designated area.  We will have an Elementary Assembly, Middle School Assembly, and a High School Assembly.  The assemblies should be no longer than 10-15 mins total.  Assembly times will be provided closer to the date of the event.
